Brenner Consulting Group (BCG), is a boutique Land Use Development and Project Management firm that is based in Los Angeles, and operates within many local jurisdictions throughout California. BCG specializes in land use consulting, entitlements, plan check expediting, government relations, and community outreach. Due to COVID, work will primarily be from home. However, in person meetings with clients and governmental, along with doing pick-up and drop-off to various City departments will be needed.

Land Use Analyst/Coordinator

Analysis of permitted uses, potential zoning changes, required entitlement approvals, CEQA requirements, estimated schedules, potential government and community issues.

Overall coordination of the entitlement process and management of the entitlement team to ensure timely delivery of documents and materials and adherence to project schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding land use policy, regulations, and government structure
  • Able to fill out government forms for entitlements.
  • Assembling 20 item packages
  • Maintain schedule and project tracker
  • Understand project approvals
  • Know how to research prior projects
  • Proficient writing skills
  • Understand hardships/justifications
  • Supports Principal
  • Entitlement paperwork/filing
  • Preparing for hearings
  • Follow up on tasks and confirm process and procedures
  • Experience – 2 to 8 years

Expediter

Management of project permit approvals, clearances and issuances. Coordinate with technical team, consisting of, but not limited to soils engineers, structural engineers, civil engineers, architects, etc. and city plan checkers and planners at various City Departments during the plan check process to ensure an expedited process, resolve problems, and adherence to project schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Know how to read plans and plan check corrections
  • Perform QA/QC
  • Able to fill out government and legal forms (bonds, covenants, etc).
  • Able to assemble 20 item packages
  • Maintain schedule and project tracker
  • Understand the permit plan check process
  • Know how to research projects

Manage daily tasks to support Expediter, Land Use Coordinator, and Land Use Analyst.
